You understand this pattern intellectually. You might even help your clients with it. And still, something stays stuck.

That's not a failing. It's exactly where this work begins.

I know this from the inside. Growing up, I learned early to make myself useful, to hold things together, to keep my needs small. That pattern followed me through two decades of clinical work — and it took my own body delivering an unignorable message to finally shift it.

In 2021, emergency surgery revealed stage 3 colon cancer. The urgency of that moment gave me permission to prioritise myself, perhaps for the first time. During six months of chemotherapy, I embarked on the deepest exploration of my own patterns I'd ever undertaken — and came through it cancer-free, and more certain than ever: talking alone doesn't shift what the body holds.

I'm Dr Coral Westaway — a Doctor of Clinical Psychology with 20 years of experience in mental health and child protection, and specialist training in Energy Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and Conscious Connected Breathwork.

I work specifically with therapists, psychologists, counsellors, and helpers who are depleted and ready to remember they matter as much as everyone they care for.

This work goes deeper than traditional therapy. We work with the body, the energy system, and the patterns that formed long before you ever qualified — gently and with care.
